HEYL Chemisch-pharmazeutische Fabrik GmbH & Co. KG, also known as HEYL Berlin, is a well-established pharmaceutical company based in Berlin, Germany. Founded on December 16, 1926, by Dr. med. Werner Heyl, the company initially focused on the extraction and processing of cod liver oil and the production of new vitamin supplements​​.

Over the decades, HEYL Berlin has significantly expanded its operations and product range. The company is renowned for developing, manufacturing, and distributing antidotes for poisoning by heavy metals and radionuclides, such as the US FDA approved product Radiogardase®​, a treatment for known or suspected internal contamination with radioactive Cesium or Thallium​. Additionally, HEYL Berlin has made significant contributions to treatments for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and Morbus Wilson, a rare copper metabolism disorder​​.

HEYL Berlin has also established a strong international presence. In 1979, Heyltex Corporation in Houston, Texas, was founded to enhance business relationships in the United States. In 1983, the establishment of Heyl Japan Co. Ltd. in Tokyo followed to be able to better cater to the Asian market​.
